6 Months

"Every home should have a 6 month old baby, just for entertainment value. Chortling, responsive, feet in the mouth, reaching, grabbing- and still too little to climb into trouble or talk back! -Dr. Spock (guru of all pediatricians)

Kalli's 6 Month Stats: *16lbs 12oz *26 1/2inches

Kalli is still the best baby ever (for us). Her favorite thing is to sit on our bed and watch Keia & Mattix do flips- she laughs soo hard! This poor third child gets woken up everyday from naps to take her brother and sister places, but never cries about it. She has been sitting up since the end of her fourth month, and is now putting her face on the ground trying to scoot forward. Kalli at this point wants NOTHING to do with solids, we will try again next month =).

Check out these rolls, lets just say that Keia was 20lbs at one year and Kalli is almost 17lbs- hence why I am not too worried about her not liking solds.

Keia the Kindergartener

Keia was Star Student this week- I know everyone was dying to know this... however I have been meaning to write about Keia starting school. I really like her teacher and Keia for the most part likes school. I am volunteering on Fridays and love it probably a little too much. Anywho- here are some pics of my first child going to school... love it!!

Thurdy Rocks

It is official, I am now 30 years old. There was a time in my life where I seriously dreaded turning 30, but within the past year I have come to realize that the thirties are going to be the best! The twenties are all about trying to figure it all out- who am I going to marry, where are we going to live, what job should we do, yadda, yadda. Now at our thirties, we have all those things figured out and I am feeling great!! I am excited to conquer new goals and step it up. I am excited to enter the next phase with our kids-sports, family vacations without pack-n-plays & diapers... the thirties are going to rock. Now for my actual birthday- I was extremely sick, my kids were sick the week before and just when I thought I was in the clear- it knocked me down. Now, for a control freak such as myself- the old me would have been really upset that I was soo sick on my birthday and had to cancel beach plans with friends and a massage scheduled- I couldn't even answer my phone from friends and family because my throat hurt so bad to talk. I actually handled it pretty well-but did shed a tear or two. I don't do well with being sick- I value my health and don't expect this from my body-but we made the best of it and I still had my trip to San Francisco to look forward to. My birthday was Monday and we were leaving Thursday for our trip. The morning we were leaving, my head was still achy and my nose wouldn't give up, then Kalli was showing signs of sickness- I called Matt to see if we should just cancel- but I decided to go for it and I am sooo glad we did. So with one pink eye, a faucet nose, and no make-up on we headed to Nor-cal. We had the best time staying with Matt's sister Erika and the fam. They are soo much fun to be with and made my birthday soo special. The next day we took the BART to San Francisco to spend the day with our good friend from college- Jer. He literally took us all over SF, I LOVE it there!!! I won't bore you with everything we saw- but it was amazing- especially the food!! I just love seeing new places and how other people live. I still think we live in the best city in the world- but I did enjoy SF and how environmentally conscience everyone was. Anywho- here are a few pics from our trip... and I just want to thank everyone for your calls, cards, and texts for my big day- I was seriously feeling the love...Thurdy rocks as Hay would say!!!
