So this brings me to the end of my "deep thoughts"... I was thinking the other day how a marriage is like trees. We are two trees standing next to each other, but still on our own. However, our roots are intertwined. And our children are the monkeys jumping all over us!!!!
I just want to give a shout out to my boo- we celebrated V-day on Friday and had the best all day date together. He seriously still makes me laugh and I always look forward to spending time together.
I always want to shout out to my kids- I love you rascals and the love you bring into my life makes everyday worth it.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE- TELL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE THAT YOU LOVE THEM TODAY!!!!!

LOVing it quote #9
"In the opinion of the world, marriage ends all, as it does in a comedy. The truth is precisely the opposite: it begins all."

LOVing quote #7
"Our character, what we are, communicates far more eloquently than anything we say or do. What you are shouts so loudly in my ears I cannot hear what you say."

LOVing it quote #6
"Our behavior is a function of our decisions, NOT our conditions. We have the initiative and the responsibility to make things happen in our marriage."

LOVing quote #4
"Don't ever be critical of each other, even in jest. Never run each other down-especially in the presence of others- because sooner or later one of you will get your feelings hurt and it won't be a joke anymore. Always build each other. Compliment each other in the presence of your friends and you will reap great rewards in your companionship."

I heart Valentine's Day
Okay, so other than the usuals my birthday and Christmas, Valentine's day is my favorite holiday. I was wondering why I LOVE it so much and I came to the conclusion it is because I have a weird obsession with people's relationships- I'm sure I have tried to get involved with yours... anywho- and I love the whole meaning of it- celebrating a day for the people we love!!! Not just our significant others, but everyone in our lives and writing them cute little cards to tell them we love them. I'm sorry, it doesn't get any better, so I realize I am two days late, but I will be writing a little quote each day until we get to Valentine's day. I know all 5 of you who read my blog will be LOVing this!!!
LOVing it Quote #1
"When a woman criticizes a man, whether she does it deliberately or not, she makes it impossible for him to feel connected to her. Where there is a withdrawn or silent man, there is usually a critical woman."

Deep thoughts...
I am reading a relationship book and came across this quote by Marjorie Hinckley, I am pretty sure we would have been friends...
"I know it is hard for you young mothers to believe that almost before you can turn around the children will be gone and you will be alone with your husband. You had better be sure you are developing the kind of love and friendship that will be delightful and enduring. Let the children learn from your attitude that he is important. Encourage him. Be kind. It is a rough world, and he, like everyone else, is fighting to survive. Be cheerful. Don't be a whiner."
**Just some deep thoughts as we approach Valentine's day...

toothless
Any of you who have met Kalli know one thing... she always has her tongue out! I thought it would be a little stage, but its lasted quite a few months now. So the other day during her typical exploring she jammed her fingers in the drawer and I saw her open her mouth while the tongue was in and saw a pearly tooth staring at me! I had NO IDEA she was getting a tooth! As most of you know as well- both Keia and Mattix didn't get a tooth until well after a year, so I just figured they would come after she was one. This says two things about my "toothless" daughter (my kids love that movie by the by): *she is that good of a baby that I had now idea a tooth came up and *she has her tongue out that much!!
