GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN...

So the summer is here, my favorite time of year...and I have had some serious fun with my girlz. It started first with my beefer Monica Hite- who is getting married!!! We had an eighties bachelorette party for her and danced all night. We have been best friends since High Skewl, la la love this girl!

Next, my best girls from High Skewl did our "thirties" trip. It is so crazy that we are all turning thirty this year!! I was in denial for awhile, but now I am super excited- there should be some good times up ahead! Anywho- here are some pics from our girls trip to Pismo Beach.

Kathryn made the cake- she is amazing, as you can see!!!

Kalli-girl

Kalli is now almost 2 months- the beginning was a little rough, but I am in love! She is the sweetest baby ever, I can see now for the first time why people actually like the newborn stage (still not my favorite though=) Kalli is growing so fast- she makes us melt when she smiles. She has made the transition to three easy for me! I am enjoying staying home with the kiddies- we are going to have a fun summer, then Keia will start Kindergarten in the fall and I will substitute teach a couple days a week. Here are some recent pics of the kids, I hope to have some more of me and boo, but I am usually taking the pictures!! Hope everyone is enjoying there summer- its finally here!! Oh- and I apologize for the non-professional pics of the kids... I seem to be the only left in the world who isn't a photographer... I'll keep practicing =)

My sister had her baby one month after Kalli. We love our new nephew, Jonas James

We went to San Clemente for Memorial Weekend

Mattix is really into being a super hero these days

Happy Birthday Bud!

Happiest Birthday Mattix. My son just turned 3 a couple of days ago... yes all my children have their birthdays within a month of each other- next to Christmas, this will be an expensive time of year for us =). Mattix is our little boy- it is amazing to see how much he has changed in the last couple of months, he went from this sweet boy who loved to follow Keia around, to a crazy boy who is all over the place, thinking everything is funny!! He always reminds me to not take life so seriously- the kid thinks everything is funny- except when something isn't done a particular way. He has to have his socks on a certain way, he has to choose who prays, he has to open the front door to leave, only him can get the toothbrushes, he doesn't like when his shoes are velcroed a certain way... should I keep going?? From the minute Mattix was born, there has been a connection between him and Matt- we love having our son a part of our family- he has always brought us so much joy. The top three things I love about this rascal are:

1. He is a snuggler and the first to always say I love you. He is soo sweet and considerate of our feelings- if I am sad he will always give me a hug and pat my back.

2. Did I mention he thinks everything is funny?? He has a great sense of humor.

3. If I am laying in bed reading, he loves to bring me his books and read together- I love those moments!!

Happiest Birthday son!!

Introducing....

Kalli Faith Huffman. She finally arrived on April 22, 2010. She is our little Earth baby =). So I hit my due date and was starting to get impatient. I had a question about something for my doctor and he told me to come in and see him the next day (now 3 days late). He said it was nothing to worry about and sent me back home... I was sooo bummed! I took the kids bowling and ran some errands, but started to feel contractions every 20 minutes. I continued to have contractions every 20 minutes from 2pm to 5am- yeah, really fun! I basically didn't get any sleep- around 5am they started coming 10 minutes apart- my doctor said to come in when they were 5 mins apart. So I got up to shower and all of a sudden they started coming every 2-3 mins- I turned off the shower and told Matt we had to go now!! It was raining and I felt myself wanting to push in the car! I started to worry about two things: I wouldn't make it to the hospital and if I did, it would be too late for the epidural. When I got to my room, the nurse checked me and said I was at a 9... I asked if I could please have the epidural. I could tell she thought I was a wuss, but I really wanted the pain to stop!!! I got my epidural, then just sat back and relaxed talking story with my doctor. She came after 4 pushes. I think we got to the hospital at 6:15 and she came at 8:15am. She looked just like Keia. She weighed 7lbs exactly. The whole hospital experience was awesome- I didn't want to put her down. Matt and I feel so blessed once again to have a beautiful, healthy baby.

Anywho- the name. So for months we were going to name her Maisy, but then one day a few weeks before she was due- Matt said I will use any name except Maisy. At this point the kids were calling her baby Maisy and I was starting to tell people that was the name. I always liked the name Kalli- but he was never that stoked on it- but he brought the name up again. This time when he told people the name- he liked their reaction! I liked Kalli because we feel so happy to be back in California and know this is our home now. Also- we kept the girls to all be K's- cheesy I know! For the middle name- we didn't want to choose a family name because this is most likely our last child and Keia has my side and Mattix has his side- so I have always loved the name Faith. It seemed appropriate for Kalli since I had over 50 doctor appointments between the Swine Flu, getting the parvovirus, and the Thryroid specialist. It took a lot of faith and prayers hoping she would make it to us safely. Also- our move to California was a huge leap of faith for us- so the name stuck. Hopefully some cuter pictures will be on their way- our kids are always weird looking in the hospital =)

My baby girl is turning 5!!

I seriously can't believe Keia is going to be 5. We celebrated her and Mattix's birthdays at Disneyland, since the baby will be born right between their birthdays. We had a great time- Mattix loved the Buzz Lightyear ride, but his favorite was driving his own car with daddy. My son is obsessed with cars- he has to take at least two cars to school everyday and he has to sleep with them at night. You usually won't see him without a car in his hand. He is really into being a boy- he loves to tell me things that boys do, like how he and daddy get to stand when they go potty and me and Keia don't. Keia loved getting her face painted, she also went on Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain with Matt- she told me she is only afraid of rattlesnakes (random), not roller coasters. I am doing pretty good- I have only 4 more weeks until our baby girl arrives- I wish I could tell you the name, but Matt and I can't seem to make a final decision- but I promise we won't leave the hospital signing her card as "baby". I am feeling pretty good still. I have only 2 more weeks of work and can't wait!!!! Maybe I will blog more when I stay home.... maybe =) Life is good in San Diego. The next time I write I will be a mommy of 3- CRAZY!!!!

Twins??

Before

After

Keia got her first manicure and pedicure for her birthday, and we went out and picked new earrings (that she loves to change twice a day!) I just love this "big" girl!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

It's a new year- yippeee! We had a great December. We went to my family's house for Christmas, then the next day we got together with Matt's family. I am feeling good, but need to detox from all the sweets I ate over the holidays! Here are some pics from December... I hope everyone has a fantastic new year.

Okay, I know everyone thinks their own kids are the cutest, but seriously I love these rascals... even my son who is discovering his "terrible twos".

We went to Balboa Park to see the lights- this is the ride my kids chose to ride together.
I think Mattix liked his lollipop

Santa brought Keia a "beautiful dress" that she asked for.

Keia took this picture... Matt and I celebrated our 8 year Anniversary... still love my boo!

Matt's awesome family.

Here I am at 6 and a half months =)

It's a....

Girl, don't you want to know!! Okay we really are having a little girl- and I am sooo excited!! So as most of you know I thought 100 percent we were having a boy- I was right with my first two- so I thought I was a total mind reader and knew what all my babies were going to be before the doctor told me- welp I was sooo wrong about this one! I gasped when the ultra sound lady told me it was a girl- she asked me, "Is that okay??" I began crying right away for a lot of reasons, but I have always felt that there was a little girl for us. I thought this was a little boy- which means we would have to go for four kids- even though Matt and I only want 3- so when she told me it was a girl- I knew she was the one who was meant to be with us and we are excited to bring her to our family. She is the final puzzle piece to the Huffman Family.
Keia was sooo excited to hear she was having a sister- here are her names for the baby: at first it was Polly (random???), then it was Kayla- I told her that was too close to her name, so she decided on Pretty- "so the baby will be pretty like me!" Should I be worried??
I keep asking Mattix what is in my tummy and now he says baby, but thank goodness he has no idea it is another sister.

Welp, that is all the exciting news for us- I am 21 weeks and going strong. We have no idea for a girls name, since I wasn't planning on it- we had the boy name all picked out!!! Any suggestions?? I prefer names that start with a M or K!!!

Post pictures next time... toodles.

Round 3

I'm never really sure how I feel about showing the pee stick, but hey I did it- I peed on that stick. We are going for round 3- our little babe will be joining the Huffman House in April- right between Keia and Mattix's birthdays. I am 14 weeks and finally feeling better- this little guy was a doozy. There will be no update until April as to what we are having because we are going to be surprised- but let me just state right here for the record- I think it is a boy.

Onto more things we have been up to... I turned 29 last month- my last year in the twenties- so craaazzy. Here is the cake my mom and kiddies made for me- it was by far the best gift I received!

My boo is turning 31 this next week so his fam came out to celebrate. We had a great time- Matt got to do his favs: golfing, surfing, then we went to see BYU play against SDSU. Here are some pics from our fun weekend- Happy Birthday Boo- you are officially entering the thirties!!! I am so proud of you- thanks for working so hard for our fam, but best of all you are an amazing dad and hubby. Love you!!

Huffman Update

Since I am not a very good blogster, I thought I would just update everyone on the Huffman Fam and put up some random pics of what we have been up to. It will be a year next month we have been in San Diego... so crazy!! Matt is doing really well at his job and things are starting to look up. I am still working at the preschool and just waiting to retire =) We love our weekends and time together as a fam and LOVE being back by the beach. Keia is doing well in her 4 year old class- she cries if her teacher even says her name in a disapproving way- she HATES getting in trouble. In fact the other day we were out to dinner and I was asking how her day was-she said, "It was okay, I did something wrong and I don't want to talk about it." Mmmmm... should I push this or respect that she doesn't want to talk about it, so we try some other creative ways of getting it out of her- but she just continued to say she wanted to stop talking about it. DAYS later I am telling some teachers at my school this story and Keia overheard me- she said, "MOM, don't tell them! The teacher told me to listen at circle time- okay!" So that was the big mystery, I guess I should be grateful that my daughter likes to be good, but does she have to talk to me like she is 12??? Mattix just keeps learning more and more- his teacher at school is awesome! He has been officially potty trained for over a month now- he was so easy- nothing like potty training Keia!!! He loves to inform us when something is "not funny". He cracks us up.
Anywho, we are all healthy and doing well- enjoy our random pics!

Keia went on a daddy date, Matt is brainwashing her to love golf... she actually really enjoys it!

Mattix in his "big boy" underwear, so cute!

Everytime my dad sees my kids, he brings these giant lollipops -EVERY TIME, the mean mother I am, I only let them take one bite!

Keia is now diving in the pool- so I thought I should get her some goggles (of course you can't get something for one of your kids and not the other). They wanted to sleep with their goggles for a couple of days- they wear them more around the house than in the pool!

We all went to Disneyland for Matt's sister and brother's birthday. Uncle Tomi spoiled all the girls with Mickey ears. That was a fun day!

We got to meet Elmo at Sea World!
