Mattix turned 2!! He is definitely a toddler now- we call him echo. He literally loves to copy every single thing anyone says and anything that his big sister does. He is a our little comedian- he loves laugh and make others laugh.
The best 2 things I love about this little boy are:
1. He is always making me laugh, whether he is meaning to or not- what a great quality to have!
2. He is my little snuggler- that kid loves to be close to you and be held (since birth), I will be sad when this goes away! I guess I could still hold him when he is 20- whatever he is into.
Here are some pictures from his second birthday on April 27. We took him mini-golfing (since he is obsessed with anything "ball"). Then we went to a restaurant to open his presents- it was a great day.
Matt's dream to have any of his kids be a pro golfer! Just like daddy.
Yes, he put this sticker on himself, he must get his weirdness from Matt =)
Legoland was having a fundraiser and it only cost 15 bones to get in, so we were on top of that!! Keia still talks about that day!
Vegas Baby... we had a mini-family reunion in May with Matt's family in Vegas. It was such a fun weekend, Keia & Mattix loved playing with their cousins and grandparents. I had fun hanging with the girls and Matt got to golf 36 holes in one day...not my idea of fun!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PICTURE! thanks sista
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PICTURE TOO!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl
Keia turned 4 on March 29.
We went to Ruby's on the Oceanside Pier for her actual birthday. Then on Easter weekend we had her birthday "tea"party. We invited her friends from school and had donuts and chocolate milk. We had to dress up as princesses of course. I just love the little girl Keia is becoming. The FOUR things I love the most about her is:
1) She is a peacemaker- she does not like to be in trouble and is always making sure everyone is okay. She will sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star to Mattix in the car when he is upset. She is so patient with Mattix, it makes it so nice for me!
2) Keia is a quick learner and loves to learn new things. I love being able to talk to her about things and she remembers everything.
3) She is always reminding me what Jesus loves and wants us to do. I love her prayers and little insights.
4) Keia cracks me up. I am really weird, therefore my daughter can be so silly- I love it!!!
Here are some pictures of my little princess- she is one of our greatest blessings.

One with Nature
We have a bunch of trails by our house, so for Sundays, we like to go on "Nature walks." For some really odd reason, my kids love rocks- who knew. Today I told Keia that she could take pictures of things on our walk- she loved it. Therefore, all these pictures are taken by Keia- except the one I took of her... our photographer. For the video- please read the caption before watching!!Keia liked this rock.... mmmm.
Pretty flowers.
The ground.
Love this picture, you can see Keia's shadow taking the picture.
So, I had no idea that Matt was filming behind me, filming my behind. This video is pretty boring, but if you watch Mattix the whole time, then it is pretty funny- we are totally oblivious to Mattix eating it and getting hurt, until the end of the video. You can hear in the video him trying to tell us he's hurt. Side note: WE ARE NOT WEARING MATCHING CLOTHES!!! I AM FULLY AWARE OF WHAT WE ARE WEARING, Matt wanted me to mention this!
(Okay we are working on putting the movie up- keep you posted on that!!)

Anywho- enjoy my modeling shoot and pics of her feather hair thingys. I am hoping she will let me post her email address in case any of you are interested in buying one from her!!!

Bad Blogger
So, I think I am a medium-rare blogger, not quite the worst, but pretty bad. Anywho- here is a brief summary of the past two months: Matt still working hard, getting more busy. Me still working, keeping real busy. Keia is doing swell- her new favorite thing is when we all sit down for dinner, she says, "Okay, let's talk. Daddy, how was your day today?" Matt will tell her about his boring Insurance stuff and she will nod and say mhmm, the entire time. Then it will be my turn to talk, then finally her turn. She loves to tell me about the kids in her preschool class and who isn't a good listener and who is "misbehaving". I love that little girl, she is so sweet and getting older!! Mattix is getting older also- he says a lot of words now- especially NO. He is obsessed with wearing things on his head- except hats. For example, he will wear his towel on his head until it is time for bed, or he loves to take off his socks and hold them up on his head while he sucks his thumb. He is quite the flirt at preschool, he waves at all the teachers and blows them kisses... mmm, that's weird, a flirt?? Matt Jr.
Welp, I will keep you POSTED on anything new or exciting in our lives =)

Happy Turkey Day

I just love the Holidays!! Anywho- we had a great time this Thanksgiving. We did our usual and drove to Vegas Baby. We spent Thanksgiving with Matt's parents, his grandma, and his stepbrother's fam. We had so much fun eating, playing games, eating, watching football, eating, and just relaxing. We also went to the MGM Grand to see the lions, and the M&M factory... good times, good times. The ONLY downfall of the whole trip was our 9 hour drive home, which normally takes 4 in a half to 5 hours. I guess we aren't the only ones who enjoy sin city. Enjoy the pics.

Huffman Update
Okay so I decided to do a little Huffman Update since my last post is so depressing. Well I have now officially survived 2 full weeks as a preschool teacher. Today Mattix did not cry when I dropped him off in the morning, it was his first time. Keia actually played with some friends today, instead of clinging to my leg during outside time. Overal everything is soo much better and we are all starting to adjust to our new schedule. On to more exciting news, Matt passed his test and can officially sell Insurance to businesses and Auto and Home Insurance. I am super excited and know he will do well. Keia is getting so big- the stuff that comes out of her mouth now, its like she is 12. Today we got home from school and she saw that she left her breakfast bowl on the table and this is what she said, "Oh my gosh, I totally left my bowl out." Ummmm what??? Excuse me three year old! Mattix is talking sooo much now. Matt loves to make him say Pirate- he says it in a deep scratchy voice. Mattix always seemed like my little baby, but he is growing up now and becoming more of a toddler! We love San Diego, the weather and environment is so beautiful. I just wanted to thank everyone for your comments on my last post- it was so uplifting and encouraging, thank you soo much!!!!

HI HO, HI HO, ITS OFF TO WORK I GO!!
Today was my first official day working again. I got a full-time position at a Preschool. After many months and prayers, I felt this would work best for me and my family. I get a huge discount having my children go there, and I get to be close to my kids. Matt and I decided that it is better for our family for me to help support the family, instead of not being able to pay our bills. Luckily it is only temporary, our goal is get me back home in a year, while Matt builds his book of business (commercial Insurance). I have to say that it has been an emotional roller coaster going back to work. I really, really did not want to leave my children into someone else's hands to watch them grow and learn new things. I think I cried 5 different times today. I kept checking on my kids, and could hear Mattix crying most of the day. Keia's teacher told me she did excellent and is, "such a beautiful child."- that brought the tears on. Picking them up after working all day with 22 3yr olds, Mattix did not want me to put him down or in his car seat... I held his hand the whole way home and cried to myself. Anywho- I know that everything will work out and that my children will be well taken care of. I have never appreciated more the opportunity I had to stay at home with my Keia and Mattix. Okay, so I am done venting and being so dramatic... preschool rules, right??? I will post pics a little later of my jobby job.

Happy Halloween

Here is our princess Cinderella and Yoda. I have to say that Yoda got a lot more attention than Cinderella, but both kids had a lot of fun trick-o-treating. Mattix would stand right up to the door and try to open the door handle every door. Keia would tell herself every house while walking up.. "see, its just pretend, its just a pretend ghost, don't be scared Mommy."
