Bad Blogger
So, I think I am a medium-rare blogger, not quite the worst, but pretty bad. Anywho- here is a brief summary of the past two months: Matt still working hard, getting more busy. Me still working, keeping real busy. Keia is doing swell- her new favorite thing is when we all sit down for dinner, she says, "Okay, let's talk. Daddy, how was your day today?" Matt will tell her about his boring Insurance stuff and she will nod and say mhmm, the entire time. Then it will be my turn to talk, then finally her turn. She loves to tell me about the kids in her preschool class and who isn't a good listener and who is "misbehaving". I love that little girl, she is so sweet and getting older!! Mattix is getting older also- he says a lot of words now- especially NO. He is obsessed with wearing things on his head- except hats. For example, he will wear his towel on his head until it is time for bed, or he loves to take off his socks and hold them up on his head while he sucks his thumb. He is quite the flirt at preschool, he waves at all the teachers and blows them kisses... mmm, that's weird, a flirt?? Matt Jr.
Welp, I will keep you POSTED on anything new or exciting in our lives =)

Happy Turkey Day

I just love the Holidays!! Anywho- we had a great time this Thanksgiving. We did our usual and drove to Vegas Baby. We spent Thanksgiving with Matt's parents, his grandma, and his stepbrother's fam. We had so much fun eating, playing games, eating, watching football, eating, and just relaxing. We also went to the MGM Grand to see the lions, and the M&M factory... good times, good times. The ONLY downfall of the whole trip was our 9 hour drive home, which normally takes 4 in a half to 5 hours. I guess we aren't the only ones who enjoy sin city. Enjoy the pics.

Huffman Update
Okay so I decided to do a little Huffman Update since my last post is so depressing. Well I have now officially survived 2 full weeks as a preschool teacher. Today Mattix did not cry when I dropped him off in the morning, it was his first time. Keia actually played with some friends today, instead of clinging to my leg during outside time. Overal everything is soo much better and we are all starting to adjust to our new schedule. On to more exciting news, Matt passed his test and can officially sell Insurance to businesses and Auto and Home Insurance. I am super excited and know he will do well. Keia is getting so big- the stuff that comes out of her mouth now, its like she is 12. Today we got home from school and she saw that she left her breakfast bowl on the table and this is what she said, "Oh my gosh, I totally left my bowl out." Ummmm what??? Excuse me three year old! Mattix is talking sooo much now. Matt loves to make him say Pirate- he says it in a deep scratchy voice. Mattix always seemed like my little baby, but he is growing up now and becoming more of a toddler! We love San Diego, the weather and environment is so beautiful. I just wanted to thank everyone for your comments on my last post- it was so uplifting and encouraging, thank you soo much!!!!

HI HO, HI HO, ITS OFF TO WORK I GO!!
Today was my first official day working again. I got a full-time position at a Preschool. After many months and prayers, I felt this would work best for me and my family. I get a huge discount having my children go there, and I get to be close to my kids. Matt and I decided that it is better for our family for me to help support the family, instead of not being able to pay our bills. Luckily it is only temporary, our goal is get me back home in a year, while Matt builds his book of business (commercial Insurance). I have to say that it has been an emotional roller coaster going back to work. I really, really did not want to leave my children into someone else's hands to watch them grow and learn new things. I think I cried 5 different times today. I kept checking on my kids, and could hear Mattix crying most of the day. Keia's teacher told me she did excellent and is, "such a beautiful child."- that brought the tears on. Picking them up after working all day with 22 3yr olds, Mattix did not want me to put him down or in his car seat... I held his hand the whole way home and cried to myself. Anywho- I know that everything will work out and that my children will be well taken care of. I have never appreciated more the opportunity I had to stay at home with my Keia and Mattix. Okay, so I am done venting and being so dramatic... preschool rules, right??? I will post pics a little later of my jobby job.

Happy Halloween

Here is our princess Cinderella and Yoda. I have to say that Yoda got a lot more attention than Cinderella, but both kids had a lot of fun trick-o-treating. Mattix would stand right up to the door and try to open the door handle every door. Keia would tell herself every house while walking up.. "see, its just pretend, its just a pretend ghost, don't be scared Mommy."

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the local pumpkin patch, and you may notice "Cinderella" was there, don't be fooled, it is Keia... who begged to wear her costume there. Anywho, we had a great time, my kids LOVED the petting zoo the best.

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY BOO!
It was Matty's 30th birthday on Oct. 21. He wanted to go to Disneyland with some friends because he wanted to be in the happiest place on Earth, maybe in denial for turning 30!! I still can't believe we are now entering our thirties... I am just so proud of Matt and the many things he has accomplished so far in his life. I love you Boo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

26.2
It's a done deal, I officially ran my first marathon. The entire St. George Marathon was rainy, windy, and freezing!! I think I stopped feeling my butt around mile 16, and my hands were like two claws because they were frozen. However, I am very proud to say that I ran it in 4hours and 17mins. I would like to give a few shout outs, first to my sista Erika who pushed me the whole way and was my rock. I would NOT have done it without her. Secondly, I would like to thank my feet. They suffered the most abuse during my 4 months of training, way to go guys. Next, I would like to thank my boo, who was soo supportive with all my runs and taking care of the kiddies. It brought tears to my eyes at the very end to see him cheering for me at the finish line. Here are a few pictures from the race, and yes I already know that I look like Uncle Fester without any make-up on, thank you.
